Founding Attorney, Sterling Chillico, a self-proclaimed “nerd”, is fascinated by and dedicated to the Constitution. Sterling practices knowing that the law, is reason free from passion, and likewise, the Constitution is not a technicality.
Sterling focuses heavily on criminal defense across the state of South Carolina. She recognizes how opaque the legal system can be, even to experienced practitioners, and strives to help her clients navigate through stressful situations. She is empathetic and understanding while also having the grit and determination to always advocate for her client’s most favorable results. She has a seasoned track record of results, is trusted by her clients and her peers, and retains a “Sterling” reputation in the South Carolina legal community as an outstanding advocate and member of the profession.
As a first generation American, Sterling also has a passion for immigration law. She saw firsthand the struggles immigrants face and the vulnerable position many are in. Sterling helps clients defend against removal as well as file for visas, Life Time Permanent Resident Status (Green Card), and Citizenship, among other things.
Sterling Chillico, is originally from Horry County, South Carolina. A graduate of Carolina Forest High School, Sterling attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina, where she graduated with a B.A. in Finance. Thereafter, she attended the University of San Francisco School of Law in San Francisco, California. Sterling is licensed to practice law in the state of California, as well as the state of South Carolina.
Sterling is certified by the Supreme Court to serve as lead counsel on capital cases, as well as licensed in the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. She currently serves as immediate past-chair of the Criminal Law Council of the South Carolina Bar. She has been an active member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the California Bar Association, the American Bar Association, The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), The South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (SCACDL), and The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), for the past eight years. She is licensed to practice immigration and naturalization law in all 50 states.
